This article is an interesting read about the two new species discovered in the waters of the Pacific. This article talks about the Eugorgia genus.
In the article it speaks about how they found the new species of soft coral in the Pacific and that they are found from California to Peru and extends down to 65 m deep. This genus of coral is known for vibrantly colored colonies all around the bottom of the ocean. These corals are different than the rest of the genus in the fact that they are a light pink and don't really show a very bright array of colors. Something else that's interesting about this coral is that when it is taken from the water it changes from pink to gray.
This Article makes me think about how little we actual know about our oceans and we should put more effort into finding things like these coral and other creatures of the sea.
